Jesse Gill, Psy.D.

Attachment theory helps us understand what has been injured and what must be restored following marital infidelity.  The betrayed spouse must have a series of corrective experiences, which are only made possible by a dramatic shift in the posture of the offending spouse.  Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy is proven to heal the attachment injury that was sustained during betrayal.  The Attachment Injury Resolution Model was designed to heal these wounds.

However, treatment pioneers have surfaced seven, clinical themes or practices that have proven helpful for couples considering recovery.
